Greetings in Jesus!

Spring is definitely in the air here in Alaska--and the snow is finally melting away. If you're like me, you've been thinking that it is time to get back into shape with the summer months approaching. Yes, I know, we should always be in shape. However, I am just not that perfect!

There are a LOT of bodybuilding and fitness competitions coming up in the next couple months--as you may have seen. Are you getting ready for any of these? If so, we'd love to hear your story! If not, there are plenty of articles in this issue to help you get into shape this spring, whether you are a competitor or not. Enjoy the sunshine.

Happy Reading!

I'm a woodworker by trade, though I doubt many people would want my job. I work for the Roman government. I help with the justice system by making sure criminals are given their fair punishment.  You see, I make the crosses used in criminal executions. It's not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. I used to take so much pride in my work. Too much pride, I'd say. I'd watch the executions, satisfied that I had a part in bringing the criminals to justice. There was one case, however, that changed my life...

Thorns

As I think about the spring, I am again reminded of Christ's death and resurrection. I think about His thorns as I think about mine. This article is not about a specific thorn, but about how to handle the thorns in our lives and how to effectively minister to others...
