Most of you know I have been on medical leave for all of June and part of July. I am back to work now on an almost full-time basis. I am still healing but doing much better!
The Medical Scoop: At the end of May I ended up in the hospital overnight to receive three units of blood (thank you blood donors!) after bleeding, almost to the point of death, the week prior. The following week I had an emergency hysterectomy—a “total” hysterectomy—everything had to go! Chris flew home on the day of my surgery to take care of me, the kids, pets, and kind-of keep the house clean
. Being on mandatory bed-rest for six weeks was not something I treasured. I enjoy daily accomplishments, and sleeping 10-12 hours a day is not an accomplishment in my book! Especially once I got past my first two weeks and started getting my energy back—I did not want to take it easy, but I had to. So what did I do? I built a farm in Farm Town, decorated my “pad” in YoVille, and chatted with old friends as well as made new ones all in Facebook!
I became a FB addict almost overnight once I had the time to learn of all one could do in there
. Many readers of The FC are my FB friends (thank you for adding me) and helped keep me sane during my recovery, thank you all for that. Now that I’m back to work in the real world, some of my virtual crops are dying, and many FB requests are building up—I just don’t have the time to “play” online anymore (thank you, Jesus!). But I will stay in contact with everyone as often as I can (if not daily) and let you know if I ever get my car running or if I end up hiring a mechanic, and when we move to Idaho.I’m happy to be back doing God’s work, and am looking forward to daily accomplishments in Jesus!
