Things at home have been a little out of whack lately. I enjoyed my Christmas vacation as much as I could, even though I stayed home to spend time with my family; however, not all the family members were here, so it was not the same. Now we are back into the ‘swing of things’ with work, school, and business as usual, for the most part.Zack is all done with school and looking for work. Cristina is working and refusing to finish school. Chris Jr. Has been sick this week, but still plugging away at home with school work. My classes started up last week and I’m already buried in homework (when will it ever end?). As far as the marriage is concerned, well, let’s just say we are at the beginning of the end. So amidst arguing with Cristina about how important her education is, encouraging Zack in his quest for work, and trying to be there as much as I can for Chris Jr., I am trying my best to ‘keep it together.’ Some days I fail miserably, and other days I just keep plugging away, doing what needs to be done.I wish things were different, but they’re not, so I just need to keep my eyes on Jesus and move forward.Get Fit4Jesus Today–Angela

But I persevered through it all by the grace ofGod and finally reached the goal. Now I’m ready for another vacation (preferably somewhere warm and sunny). In this issue Dr. McDougle joins us with his new column, as I mentioned in the last issue. We will also be bringing a Certified Personal Trainer on board as a columnist this year. Exciting things are happening with the magazine–it is awesome to watch God move within this ministry. I expectantly wait to see what He has in store for us next.Happy Reading!

Things never seem to slow down around here. The kids have all been busy with school, and I with both school and work. In the past month we have also been passing the H1V1 virus (a.k.a. Swine Flu) back and forth to one another. Due to that, we are all behind in our school work and trying hard to catch up.On the publishing end, new books have been released with more to come. It is exciting to see God’s plans unfold, and it is a blessing to be used for His glory in doing His work. I know He will continue to bless and grow His Work Christian Publishing and The Fit Christian Magazine in ways I cannot imagine. As far as the move south goes, things are on hold for a bit. The sale of our property here fell through. So now we continue towait on God’s direction and timing, and for another buyer for our lot in Thorne Bay. It’s all in His hands. As far as my health is concerned, I am in a big battle against the bulge! As the publisher and editor of The Fit Christian Magazine and a former personal trainer and gym manager, it is hard for me to admit that I have gained about 50 pounds inthis past year!My husband keeps reassuring me that it’s not my fault, and that I will lose it. After all, I was struggling withhealth and heart problems (including cardiac arrest!), recovering from surgeries, and even struggled through weeks of physical therapy in the past year. Not being able to be as physically active as I needed to be to lose or even maintain myweight was definetely good reason. However, I have to take responsibility in the way that I ate while I was living with theblues of being on bedrest so much. I ate whatever I wanted, then cried about gaining weight and not being able to go out and work it off! When I recently tipped the scales at 200, I freaked out and realized the error of my weighs (pun intended)! Now, I am making a “New Me” resolution! It’s time to clear out the junk in my cupboards, fill the fridge with more fresh veggies, find a fitness buddy, and get back to the gym. I will keep you posted on my progress. I am not sure if I am as brave as Nancy (read “Nancy’s New Beginnings”) in posting ‘before and after’ photos of myself, but I’ll think of something.Have a blessed holiday and a glorious new year.

Greetings in Jesus!

This holiday issue brings 2009 to a close and changes in the new year. I believe this ministry will continue to be blessed in the year 2010, and that God will continue to cover The Fit Christian Magazine and its expenses with His outstretched hand as we continue to reach toward Him and do His will.In this issue we introduce our new columnist Dr. Todd McDougle of Indiana. Dr. McDougle is a Member of the International Chiropractors Association, is on the Board of the ICA of Indiana, and is the Chairman for the ICA-I Insurance Compliance Council. He remains the only Chiropractic Doctor in Indiana to be Certified by Spine Corporation; the producers of the SpineCor Bracing system. He has been involved with local, National, and International sports figures since 1997. He is the developer of the McDougle Multi-Release Pelvic Technique and has trained many Chiropractic Doctors in his methodology. To learn more about Dr. McDougle visit his Website at www.INchiropractic.com. Please join me in welcoming him to our team of volunteers!I know that most people have had it rough this past year, myself included. I pray that 2010 brings in many blessings for everyone in every way. Be encouraged and know that God is in control, and if He isn’t, it’s time to give in to Him and allow Him to bring about changes in your life. His Word says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Let His plans unfold before you; allow Him to amaze you in ways you could never imagine; for His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Let us strive in the new year to conform our ways to His ways, our thoughts to His thoughts, and to believe in Him to bring about His plans for our future. We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loves and lives in us!Happy Reading!

Most of you know I have been on medical leave for all of June and part of July. I am back to work now on an almost full-time basis. I am still healing but doing much better!

The Medical Scoop: At the end of May I ended up in the hospital overnight to receive three units of blood (thank you blood donors!) after bleeding, almost to the point of death, the week prior. The following week I had an emergency hysterectomy—a “total” hysterectomy—everything had to go! Chris flew home on the day of my surgery to take care of me, the kids, pets, and kind-of keep the house clean . Being on mandatory bed-rest for six weeks was not something I treasured. I enjoy daily accomplishments, and sleeping 10-12 hours a day is not an accomplishment in my book! Especially once I got past my first two weeks and started getting my energy back—I did not want to take it easy, but I had to. So what did I do? I built a farm in Farm Town, decorated my “pad” in YoVille, and chatted with old friends as well as made new ones all in Facebook!

I became a FB addict almost overnight once I had the time to learn of all one could do in there . Many readers of The FC are my FB friends (thank you for adding me) and helped keep me sane during my recovery, thank you all for that. Now that I’m back to work in the real world, some of my virtual crops are dying, and many FB requests are building up—I just don’t have the time to “play” online anymore (thank you, Jesus!). But I will stay in contact with everyone as often as I can (if not daily) and let you know if I ever get my car running or if I end up hiring a mechanic, and when we move to Idaho.I’m happy to be back doing God’s work, and am looking forward to daily accomplishments in Jesus!

Yes, new things are taking shape with the ministry, and with the family.
Chris and I are doing so much better! The counseling helped, it’s on hiatus at the time, but it helped, and we’re not done yet. I believe the biggest help has got to be our miracle-working God. There certainly isn’t anything on Earth that I can give credit to, it has to be God. Of course, our willingness to work on our marriage probably has something to do with it as well. We are looking ahead to the future that God has planned for us, and leaving the past behind us.

Some of the new things happening around the home front are: Zack is back home with us, and he has a new pet, Ziggy, that a young lady gave to us; Nick is moving back home and arriving this afternoon; Chris Jr’s doggie, Hashi, adopted me, as did Joey, Cristina’s fur baby, since the kids are always so busy with their own lives, friends, etc. So Christerpher decided he needed a wiener dog that would get attached to only him. He put an ad in our local online paper and got a free, beautiful, long-haired Dachshund, Dusty. This dog absolutely adores, and protects, Christerpher! He follows him everywhere, sleeps with him, and totally loves him. He’s perfect! (Now, if only he will learn that we love Christerpher too, maybe he will stop growling and barking at us when we go into his room). Now, with Nick and Zack coming home, I am just waiting for the day when we receive a call from Josh wanting to come home as well. Yes, he’s almost 25, but he’s still my baby!

Another new thing happening here is we are being led to move to Idaho, a place we have never even been to. God has really put it into our hearts to move the family and the ministry down there, for whatever reasons He has. We are all (finally) excited and looking forward to the change. We have no idea where in Idaho we are going, how we are getting there, or exactly when, although we know it is this summer. What we do know is that God is in control. All of the stuff we don’t know, He knows, and it is all in His hands; it is all His plan. We just need to trust in Him and believe.

Please pray with us for this mighty move that God is doing in our lives and this ministry. We pray blessings on you all in this new season. Happy spring!

In Jesus and In Health–Angela

Greetings in Jesus!
With this issue comes the spring season. As we spring forward in time, we look forward to seeing he signs of spring: new flowers, new creatures, newness all around. I am looking forward to new things, and letting the things of old stay behind me. One of the new things that is happening is the shift of the publishing company going from a “business” to a
non-profit ministry. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this ministry. It’s a new beginning.

Speaking of new beginnings, Nancy Napolitano is still on her break, and will be ready to return to her “New Beginnings” column with the next issue. Enjoy your rest, Nancy.

I hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed putting it all together. Here’s looking forward to a new season and new beginnings.

Happy Reading!
